I'm moving across the country to Minneapolis from Orlando, and I have one seat free and room for 1-2 small suitcases.
My earliest departure time is around 5am, and my latest departure time is likely around 8am.
I will take the highway, and I plan on driving 12-15 hours the first day, stopping at a hotel that night, and then getting up quite early the next day to continue on. I expect to only spend one night at the hotel. I likely will feel most comfortable in separate hotel rooms. I will stop at a hotel that is like Best Western, Quality Inn, etc.
I will stop for food, gas, and the bathroom only when the gas is empty, and those stops will be quite quick.
I'm a female in my mid-thirties, and I'm a working professional. I can talk, listen to the radio, or sit in silence while riding in the car. The only thing I don't like listening to is political talking heads!
Absolutely no smokers at all. Even if you won't smoke in the car, I don't want clothes or breath that smells like smoke in my car. Of course, no drugs or marijuana, either.
I expect the passenger to pay for every other gas fill up along the way. We will keep track of who paid what, and then whoever owes the other person money at the end will pay in cash. Each person will pay for their own food. It's basically a free ride in which you only have to pay for 1/2 the gas!
