I am driving from Minnesota to Arizona around the early-middle of September and looking for one or more people to travel with me. Preferably you are a licensed driver able and willing to share some of the driving duties. But I am also willing to consider anyone who can pay some $$ towards gas/car expenses and help keep me alert while driving. I don't mind night driving if we are taking turns one driving while the other person sleeps. Even with that, I will want to stop at least one time to sleep at a motel for 8 hours or more to get properly rested. I am not interested in sharing a motel room so you'd need to get your own.
I have a newer car that gets good gas mileage and have roadside assistance. There will be room for several bags if you have that much stuff. I am not looking to sightsee ... want to get there quickly. Yes I realize flying is faster and just as cheap when accounting for gas, motel room, car miles, etc. This is just unfortunately my way of travel unless or until I get over my stupid/terrible fear of flying.
I am 42, female, mom/wife, competent, pacifist, educated, working-class, somewhat bitter and jaded yet ever hopeful. I am kind and will be nice to you unless/until you give me a good reason not to be. I have a family that will not be along for this trip but will notice if they don't hear from me every few hours. Please be a relatively sane person or at least able to keep most of your crazy to yourself. I'll probably ask to see some identification and ask for at least 1 or 2 references who can vouch you're not a serial killer (as far as they know, at least). Feel free to ask the same of me.
